Tree and birds!

This is a little something I made inspired by other bloggers. I used two branches from real trees, then added some fake red and white roses and birds I had handsewn. For the vase, I used an old bamboo mat for rolling sushi that we didn't use anymore and covered a plain white metal vase that was laying around here. Inside the vase there is the excess of the bamboo mat cut in small pieces. I think it turned out pretty cute, and it's fun re-arranging the bird's positions everyday ♥

Dreamcatcher!

This is a dream catcher I made the other day. I didn't have feathers so I used some bits of a feather-like necklace I got at a party (that's why it's neon pink colored...). I also used some yarn that was left around my room, and the base for the dreamcatcher was a plastic ring from one of my little brother's broken toys. Beads were also rescued from somewhere. It was a recycling project and I think it actually looks pretty nice, I'm quite happy with it ♥

Mother's day tote bag!

This is a tote bag I sewed for mother's day. I fell in love with the pink and black small flowers fabric and this black lace, they're just so cute! I made the shushu for holding the bag together and making it to a size it could fit inside my mom's bag, so that she can use it for shopping and help the enviroment avoiding plastic bags. It makes me very proud and happy seeing her using it ♥

Cupcake buttons holder!

This is a button holder I made myself. It's meant to look like a cupcake (though I'm not sure if I succeeded, it was really difficult to design it, at least, I'm sure strawberries and ribbons can make anything cute enough!). I used a hydrating lotion's package that I finished some time ago, and covered it with felt. I'm looking forward to finishing another hydrating lotion so I can play with its package again! ♥

Lovely package from loveliest Sinead!

This week I got a wonderful package full of sweet presents from my sweetest friend Sinead. Everything is so cute, and I know each item was carefully picked specially for me, I'm really happy! 

Thank you very much dear, I love it all, but, of course, I love you much more ♥

Orchid!

My mom loves orchids, so I made this one for her birthday. 

It's made from felt, and I used a tupperware as a vase.

It's very handy, because it blooms all year-round and it doesn't really require all the caring a real orchid needs ♥

3D cake birthday card!

This is a 3D cake card I made for my friend's birthday. 

I think it turned out pretty cute! ♥

Pablo!

This is a felt plushie I sewed for my little brother's birthday. It's Pablo, a blue penguin, character of the kids tv show Backyardigans. He's very cute and cheerful, and a lovely dancer as well ♥

Piece of cake!

This is a strawberry cake slice I sewed for a friend's birthday. It's made with felt and much love! ♥

Matryoshka!

These are super lovely Matryoshka dolls I bought from a group of very friendly and talented people that came from Belarus (so far away!) to present us with an amazing performance of their folk dance. Their costumes were so very elaborated and gorgeous! They even played the music by themselves, I specially loved the  xylophones. Their dancing was great as well, so vigorous and cheerful! One could find him/herself  clapping their hands throughout the whole show, either applauding the group, or just accompaning their music, for just how enchanting they were. I loved it! 

During the breaks and after they finished their performance, they were selling handmade traditional items, everything was so cute! In these pictures you can see how colorful and detailed they were. Here you can see two Matryoshka dolls, two keychains and one cellphone strap. When you open the Matryoshka dolls, you find a smaller one inside and so on, until you have five dolls, and the last one is so tiny and adorable! I'll make sure to be extra careful with it, so I won't ever lose my baby doll ♥
